Custom metal engraving

Your build,
engraved by hand.

Too Rowdy engraves custom artwork into your parts — exhaust tips and wheels — drawn for your car, laid onto the metal, and engraved by hand with a rotary tool. No two alike.

The craft

Drawn for your car.
Engraved by hand.

Every piece starts as a blank part and a conversation. We draw a design to suit your car, lay it onto the metal, then engrave it by hand with a rotary tool — the same scrollwork tradition you'll find on fine firearms and jewellery, brought to the parts that actually go on your build.

Because it's all done by hand, the artwork flows with the shape of the part and never repeats. What lands on your exhaust is yours and only yours.

What we engrave

Bring us the part.
We'll make it one of one.

Three parts, done properly. These are where hand engraving makes the loudest statement on a build:

PT-01 / EXHAUST

Exhaust tips

The showpiece at the back of the build. Whatever look you're after, engraved around the tip so it's the first thing people notice.

PT-02 / ROLLING

Wheels

Spokes, faces and lips engraved to carry a pattern all the way around — detail that reveals itself as the wheels turn.

PT-03 / GLASS

Mirrors

Artwork engraved into the mirror glass itself — subtle until the light catches it, and unlike anything else at the meet.

How it works

From your idea
to engraved metal.

01 / CONSULT

Talk it through

Send the part, your car and a rough idea of the vibe — clean and classic, wild and busy, or somewhere between. We sort out what's possible.

02 / DESIGN

Draw the artwork

We sketch a design that fits the exact shape of the part and matches your build. Nothing gets engraved until you're happy with it.

03 / ENGRAVE

Engrave it by hand

The design is laid onto the part, then engraved by hand with the rotary tool — line by line, the slow work that makes every piece its own.

04 / FINISH

Finish & return

Cleaned up, finished and packed, then back to you ready to bolt on. One part, one of a kind, done.

Questions

Before you ask.

01How do I commission a piece?+
Send a request through the form below or DM us on Instagram. Tell us the part, the car it's going on, and the vibe you're after — clean and classic, wild and busy, or somewhere between. We'll come back to you with what's possible and a quote.
02Do I need to send you my part?+
Yes — every piece is engraved on the physical part, so it needs to get to the studio. We're in Canterbury, and we work with builds all over New Zealand: once your commission is confirmed we'll sort out drop-off or courier, whichever suits.
03How much does it cost?+
Every piece is quoted individually — it depends on the part and how much of it the artwork covers. A single tip with a simple design sits at a different level than full-coverage scrollwork across a set of wheels. Get in touch and you'll have a quote before anything starts.
04How long does it take?+
It depends on the design and the current queue — hand engraving is slow work by nature, and we don't rush it. You'll get a realistic timeframe with your quote, and we'll keep you posted along the way.
05Can you engrave a design I already have in mind?+
Absolutely. Bring a reference, a sketch, or just an idea — we'll draw it up to fit the exact shape of your part. Nothing gets engraved until you've approved the artwork.
